All our laser hair removal aestheticians hold an NVQ level 3 in Electrical Beauty Therapy and are also trained to the VTCT level 4 in Laser and IPL treatments. Our specialist laser room ensures all treatments are carried out in a clean, hygienic, comfortable and private environment.
How does Laser Hair Removal work?
The laser is attracted to the melanin found in hair. Energy is produced and absorbed by the hair shaft before travelling to the follicle, heating and destroying its blood supply to prevent future hair growth.
Laser hair removal results are permanent; the treated follicles will die and not produce hair again. We recommend 6 sessions to ensure all hair follicles are treated, as 20% of your hair follicles are dormant (i.e. not producing hair) at any one time and so will not be treated. During hormonal changes ( pregnancy or menopause) these follicles may or may not produce hair at which point they can also be treated.
We are able to treat all skin types (Fitzpatrick scale 1-6). Results are faster on darker hair as the laser is attracted to the pigment in the hair, although it is possible to treat most hair colours. It is not possible to treat blonde or white hair.

Your Laser Hair Removal treatment
During our initial complimentary consultation we will carry out a patch test for your safety and wellbeing and answer all your questions. During the treatment the laser is passed over the area targeting the hair and leaving the skin unharmed. You may experience a slight heat sensation which will be kept to a minimum with our specialist skin cooling system.
After treatment you may see a little redness to the skin and we advise you to avoid any heat treatments for 24 hours (such as sauna etc) but you can return to your normal activities immediately.
